During the War: 

Student in France, Portugal, Canada (McGill University); joined the McGill University Canadian Officers Training Corps (COTC); joined the Polish Army in Windsor, Ontario on 11 September 1943. Arrived in the UK on 30 October 1943 and sent for training to Scotland. Assigned to the 2nd Company of the 8th Rifle Battalion of the 1st Polish Armoured Division on 9 November 1943. Graduated from Polish Officer’s School on 6 June 1944. Deployed with his Division to the front in France in July 1944. Severely wounded in the legs on 16 August 1944 at Louvagny (during the Battle of Falaise); convalesced for 6 months in hospitals in the UK (Cardiff and Wrexham). Commenced engineering studies at the University of Bristol.

After the War: 

He completed B.Sc. in engineering at University of Bristol (1947). He emigrated to Canada and 

completed Master of Engineering at McGill University (1950). Member of Polish Combatants’ Association Branch 7 (Montreal); office holder with the Combatants Credit Union (est. 1955) in Montreal. Employed as an engineer by Canadian Marconi Company (Montreal); employed as an engineer in the United States following the cancellation of the CF-105 Avro Arrow project in Canada.
