Polish Honorary Military Cemetery in Breda

It was opened in 1963 on the initiative of local activists. Soldiers of the 1st Polish Armored Division, 1st Independent Parachute Brigade and members of the resistance movement are buried there. A total of 162 people.

In 1994, the ashes of General Stanisław Maczek were also buried in this cemetery.

Every year, on the last weekend of October, celebrations related to the liberation of Breda take place at the cemetery.

The ‘Maczek Memorial’ museum was built next to the cemetery, and it was opened to visitors on June 3, 2020.
