He spent his childhood years in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, attending primary school in Aleksandr\u00f3w \u0141\u00f3dzki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fates during the war:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He served in the 1st Polish Armored Division in the 9th Flanders Rifle Battalion. Wounded in the leg in the fall of 1944 during the fighting for the liberation of Breda. Transported to an English hospital in Lier (Belgium). After recovering from his wounds, he returned to his battalion. He covered the entire battle route from Normandy to Germany. During his service in the Polish Armed Forces, he used the surname Dymkowski (his wife’s maiden name).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-war fate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He returned to Poland in 1946. After returning to his homeland, he lived in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, then moved to Zgierz, where he lived and worked until the end of his life. Throughout his post-war life, he worked in weaving factories in Zgierz and \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. Until the end of the 1950s, he was under surveillance, harassed and forced to cooperate with the secret services of the Polish People’s Republic, to which he never surrendered. Buried in Zgierz at the municipal cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
