Stanis\u0142aw Maczek. In the September Campaign of 1939, he was the commander (with the rank of second lieutenant of the cavalry reserve) of the 2nd platoon of the 2nd squadron of the anti-tank division of the 10th Cavalry Brigade. He fought in the battles of Wysoka, \u0141a\u0144cut and Zboiska. After getting to France in the French campaign of 1940, he was the commander of the 2nd rifle platoon of the 1st squadron of the 10th Mounted Rifle Regiment of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade. After the fall of France, he found himself in Great Britain with Polish troops. Soldier of the 1st Armored Division of General Maczek. As its officer (in the rank of cavalry lieutenant) and deputy commander of the command squadron of the 10th Mounted Rifle Regiment, he fought throughout its campaign in Europe &#8211; in France (fights at Soignolles, Chambois, Abbeville), Belgium (Ypres, Axel, Merksplas) and the Netherlands (Baarle \u2013 Nassau, Breda, Moerdijk).
