Zbigniew Rosi\u0144ski began his schooling at the school of the Jesuit Fathers, previously Zbigniew was educated by a private teacher who taught him French. After passing his high school final exams, he started law studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krak\u00f3w, which he did not complete due to the outbreak of World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Military service in 1st<\/sup> Armored Division:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the outbreak of the war, he and his brothers got to France. The older brothers were sent as officers to Paris. Zbigniew stayed in Brittany, where there were already about 100,000. Poles. On January 10, 1940, in Coetquidan (Brittany), he was assigned to the battalion of the 24th Uhlan Regiment, to which he remained loyal until his death. After the end of the French campaign, he reached the coast of England by ship from Bordeaux. During training in England and Scotland, he became a translator – knowledge of English and French was useful here. He went through the entire combat route as part of the 1st Polish Armored Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After War:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 23, 1945, Zbigniew Rosi\u0144ski married Denise Bohyn, whom he met on November 4, 1944. He graduated from the University of Antwerp and received a master’s degree in economics. He devoted his entire life to sea, air and land transport. He received the title of Honorary Judge of the Commercial Court in Antwerp. He was the Honorary President of former Veterans of the 1st Polish Armored Division of General Maczek in Belgium. Honorary Citizen of the City of Kra\u015bnik. He died in 2014 and was buried in the cemetery in Kemzeke (Belgium).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
